Investigations Training for Your Security Staff

Overview

Eventually every business no matter how large or small encounters problems related to security issues. These usually arise internally as thefts, misuse of company computers, fraudulent information provided by employees on documents such as resumes/curriculum vitae, corporate espionage, drug abuse or the sale of drugs on the premises, little or improper screening and training of security guards, or the taking or eliciting of bribes and other forms of corruption. Occasionally, external problems such as threats directed at the company or individual corporate employees, social unrest and/or protests aimed at a particular company, bombings or other incendiary or hazardous devices being intentionally placed on the premises or the kidnapping of corporate executives. These external problems usually arise as a result of a disgruntled employee (former or present), but can also be caused by an activist or terrorist group. If left unchecked, any of these problems can have a dramatic effect on the profit margin of the business, possible criminal or civil liability, downgrading or loss of necessary certifications, property or personal damage, and a devastating effect on the overall morale of employees.

At the conclusion of this course, SECURITY PERSONNEL will understand the basics of corporate security investigations as well as the specific techniques needed to combat or eliminate these problems. Specific issues such as interviewing techniques, proper employee due diligence procedures, appropriate and non-intrusive ways of setting up random and “with cause” drug screening, how to establish proper evacuation and emergency plans, as well as general corporate safety procedures are addressed during this course.
