Interviewing Victims
Overview
Comprehensive, empathetic and focused INTERVIEWING OF VICTIMS and witnesses is a critical element in the provision of services by non-governmental organization staff. In addition to gathering information that may be critical in a police investigation, staff must also have the skills to interview traumatized victims, child victims, and people with special needs. This course covers basic interviewing techniques. Participants develop skills through actual classroom interviews and the critiquing of those interviews by class members and instructors.
