Human Rights Training for Law Enforcement Personnel
Overview
In 1948 the United Nations established the milestone protocol for HUMAN RIGHTS. In this and subsequent international treaties on human rights, guidelines were set forth which impact worldwide on all peoples, governments and law enforcement personnel. Whereas each nation has its own unique policy on human rights, it is nonetheless important that law enforcement have a basic understanding of their role in adhering to and enforcing both international and national human rights policies and laws.
At the conclusion of this course, law enforcement personnel will have a better understanding of the international guidelines pertaining to human rights.
