Drug Investigations

Overview

Illegal DRUGS have often been called “the scourge of nations”. They impact adversely on societies in various ways, particularly in the areas of crime, health, corruption, politics and family values. The investigation of persons or organizations involved in the smuggling, possession or distribution of illegal drugs is critical to any law enforcement organization. Drug investigations pose unique problems for law enforcement and require the use of many techniques not necessarily utilized in conducting other types of criminal investigations.      
At the conclusion of this course, law enforcement personnel will have a comprehensive understanding of the specialized techniques used by narcotics crime investigators. They will also have knowledge of current officer safety protocols that are critical for officers conducting drug investigations.
