Basic Counseling Skills

Overview

NGO workers are often put into a position of providing COUNSELING to a large and difficult caseload when no professional counselors are available.  This module explores ethical principles and provides basic counseling skills for field workers, whether they work in anti-human trafficking, child labor, harm reduction or any number of other fields in which they are the primary contact with the client.  Suicide assessment and prevention is also included.
